존경하는 태권도 가족 여러분!

다사다난 했던 2019년을 보내고, 2020년 경자년(庚子年) 새해를 맞이했습니다.

지난해 태권도 발전을 위해 각자의 위치에서 혼신의 노력을 다하신 태권도 가족 여러분께 진심으로 고마운 마음을 전합니다.

지난 몇 년간 국기원은 각종 문제들로 인해 홍역을 치렀고, 이로 인해 국기원 위상에 흠집이 난 것도 사실입니다.

따라서 저는 국기원이 태권도의 미래를 선도하는 세계태권도본부로 탈바꿈하고, 위상을 다시 정립하는 데 최우선 가치를 두려고 합니다.

새해에는 국기원 조직의 체제 안정과 국기원이 새롭게 거듭나기 위한 기반 구축에 온 힘을 쏟을 계획입니다.

제가 취임사를 통해 밝혔듯이 국기원이 신뢰받고, 빛날 수 있도록 임직원 모두와 함께 끊임없는 노력을 경주하겠습니다.

늘 겸허한 자세로 태권도 가족 여러분의 목소리에 귀 기울이며, 오직 국기원의 밝은 미래를 위해 일하겠습니다.

태권도 가족 여러분께서도 태권도의 발전을 위한 국기원의 노력에 힘과 마음을 모아 주시기 바랍니다.

태권도 가족 여러분, 2020년 새해에도 건강하시고, 가정에 행운이 깃들기를 염원합니다.

New Year’s Greetings

Respected Taekwondo Family Around the World!

We now say goodbye to an eventful year of 2019 and welcome 2020, the Year of Metal Rat.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to every one of you who have put concerted effort for the development of Taekwondo from where you are.

Kukkiwon was plagued by various issues over the last few years, which inevitably scathed Kukkiwon’s stature.

Hence, I would like to put the highest priority in rebuilding the status of Kukkiwon by reforming it into the World Taekwondo Headquarter that would lead the future of Taekwondo.

In 2020, all efforts will be put into stabilizing the internal system of Kukkiwon and establish the foundation for Kukkiwon’s reformation.

In line with my Inauguration Speech, I promise you that every member of Kukkiwon will put in ceaseless efforts to make Kukkiwon a trustworthy and shining organization.

I will listen to the voice of the Taekwondo Family with the humblest mind, and work tirelessly for the bright future of Kukkiwon.

Kindly join us and support us in Kukkiwon’s endeavors for the development of Taekwondo.

Beloved Taekwondo Family, may the New Year bless you with health, wealth and happiness.
