Abstract

유네스코 세계기록유산으로 등재된 무예도보통지 권 4에 권법(수박의 별칭)이 수록되어 있다.

이 권법에 포함되어 있는 기고세, 즉 북을 두드리듯 치는것은 2017년 작고하신 송창렬이 생전에 보여준 용법과 같은것으로 파악된다.

2015년 송창렬을 인터뷰하고 발간한 세계태권도연수원의 연구보고서에 수록된 예를 들어둔다.

무예도보통지의 기고세는 북을 두드리듯 양팔을 아래우, 또는 좌우로 교차하면서 상대의 팔을 누르며 나아가는 것이다.

여기에 사평세라는 정면 치기가 이어진다.

송창렬은 상대와 마주 앉아서 상대 손등을 오른쪽, 왼쪽으로 번갈아 치고 이어서 상대방의 어깨를 손바닥으로 쳤다.

약속 없이 할때는 상대도 같은 동작을 하게 되므로 중간에 서로 팔이 얽히게 되는데 중국 명대의 장수인 척계광이 군사들에게 가르쳤다는 해동죽지의 기록이나 1900년생으로 권태훈이 증언한 것과 대동소이한것으로 이해된다.

팔이 얽히게 되면 서로 이팔과 저팔이 붙어 있기에 상대방의 공격을 막기에 용이해진다.

결론으로 송창렬의 손등치기는 무예도보통지 권법의 기고세로써 유희화 된것이라 고찰되었다.

Kwonbeop (an alias of Subak) is included in Volume 4 of the Muyedobotongji, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
