On 11st, at IFMA Executive Board Meeting, President Kim was elected as the Executived Board Member of IFMA for next generation leaderships to lead the development of Muaythai in the world

President Ju-hyeon Kim of Korea Muaythai Association(KMTA) was elected as the executive board member of the International Federation of Muaythai Associations(President Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan, IFMA).

 

At the '2023 Executive Board Meeting' held at the Ambassador Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand at 8:30 a.m. on the 11th(local time), Ju-hyeon Kim, President of the KMTA, was unanimously elected as executive board member as one of the next-generation leaders to lead the future and development of Muaythai.

 

IFMA Secretary-General Stephan Fox said "The IFMA needs a next-generation leader to lead the future by recruiting new personnel for the reorganization of the IFMA organization structure, a young and healthy atmosphere and vitality."

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IFMA also had a difficult time of the past three years, but with that opportunity, it sought to develop a new and more colorful Muaythai. At the same time, the Secretary-General Fox stressed that South Korea is also an important partner among the next generation leaderships who will lead the future of Muaythai in the world.

 

The vote of President Kim on executive board members, who was officially invited to the executive board meeting and attended as president of the National Federation(NF), was unanimously elected at the proposal of Secretary-General Fox.

The executive board members from about 20 countries around the world who attended the '2023 IFMA Executive Board Meeting' took commemorative photos after President Kim was elected as the new executive board member.

The president Kim of the Republic of Korea, was elected as a national representative to the executive board member consisting of only the heads of about 20 countries among the heads of the official National Federation(NF) of 148 countries in the IFMA.

 

The president Kim also expressed his willingness to expand the base of Muaythai by strengthening and harmonizing not only sports aspect of Muaythai but also cultural aspects of Muaythai.
